Here we are on Monday afternoon, and there's been so much that's happened in the last 24 hours.
Well, one thing is that some ladies (and my doctor) had mentioned that with the hysterectomy I had that it might push me into some interesting side effects, like hot flashes and night sweats. I had been fine for over a month (the surgery was back on May 1st). But yesterday while I was reading a book I felt like someone turned up the heater in the apartment or something. My body felt like it was on fire - granted a low-grade fire, but still! I grabbed a cold glass of water and downed it like a cactus plant!! After a second glass I felt much better.
Then last night I was snoozing away when a beep from our neighboring apartment building woke us up, per usual. Waking up to a somewhat wet blanket is definitely not usual...so hello, night sweats! I'm hoping this isn't me going into early menopause....ugh!
So today after waking up I did a couple of laps around our complex which should be about 1-1.5 miles. Then I may be doing another walk this evening with a good friend of mine - depends on how we're feeling at that time. So, signing off for now...stay vertical!
